Maintenance Dept Responsibilities of the Maintenance Mechanic
- Maintain, diagnose, and repair electrical, hydraulic, steam, water, waste, and pneumatic systems/components found in manufacturing equipment related to all processing, production of corrugated cardboard and facility systems.
- Plan and execute preventative maintenance according to PM schedule to minimize equipment downtime.

Preferred Experience of the Maintenance Mechanic
- Four+ years related experience, preferably in the industrial manufacturing industry.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to use a variety of hand tools, precision hand tools, and measuring instruments at a high level as required. Preferred competencies in welding, presses, grinders, basic fabrication, PLC logic.
- A background in boiler maintenance or a 2nd class fireman’s license or willing to obtain a 2nd class fireman’s license.
- Able to read, analyze and interpret technical procedures, schematics, service, and operating manuals.
- Maintain accurate maintenance, production, quality, and operational records as required.

The Quality Control Technician is responsible for completing precise raw whole squid and prepared calamari product quality assessments, data entry, daily plant inspections, and equipment sanitation and calibration accuracy checks. Additional responsibilities include, but are not limited to, reporting quality and policy deviations, operating a fryer for calamari taste tests, and providing real-time feedback to the Operations team during in-line quality checks and boat unloading. Specific day-to-day activities depend on boat arrivals and catch volumes (hails).
Responsibilities for this position include (but are not limited to):
- Complete daily pre-Operational (pre-op) sanitation plant inspections, environmental swabbing, and paperwork for the interior and exterior of the plant, communicate corrective actions to the Operations team leadership immediately, and verify the assigned corrective actions were done in the agreed-upon timeframe

Experience facilitating classroom based training

Knowledge of workplace safety and health management principles and practices

Knowledge of relevant industry standards including but not limited to OSHA, NFPA, NIOSH, ANSI
Knowledge of the principles and practices of risk management and loss prevention

Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook), Adobe Acrobat, and database management

Qualifications
- Certified Safety Professional (CSP) certification
- Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations and occupational health standards
- Experience in training and development within EHS frameworks
- Familiarity with workers' compensation processes and laws
- Proficient in first aid and CPR techniques
- Understanding of manufacturing safety protocols and EPA regulations
- Skills in report writing and root cause analysis for safety incidents
